Missoula is host to the 2009 Montana State High School Hockey Tournament this weekend at Glacier Ice Rink. All of the photos that I was able to take during the tournament are now up on the site.

The U19 Missoula Bruins Girls hockey team played the Glasgow Ice Dawgs for third place in the state tournament on Sunday afternoon at Glacier Ice Rink.

The Maulers battled the Yellowstone Quake for their final game of the season Friday night. The game went to overtime but the Yellowstone Quake ended up sweeping the Maulers in the first round of the playoffs.

The Maulers faced a tough opponent in the Helena Bighorns during their final regular season game Saturday night. Falling by a score of 5 to 1 the Maulers now head to Cody, Wyoming to face the Quake in the first round of the playoffs.

The Maulers absolutely crushed the Butte Rough Riders last night in the second to last regular season game by a score of 10 to 1. Hopefully the offense continues tonight against Helena. There was also quite the team of mascots in attendance as well to help cheer on the Maulers and honor the University of Montana Grizzly football team during intermision.

The Maulers fell to the Bozeman Ice Dogs during double overtime Thursday night at the Glacier Ice Rink. This lets Bozeman move ahead in the standings. During intermission Elyse Knudsen and Marco Del Zotto skated for the Maulers fans.

A first ever afternoon game between the Maulers and the Bozeman Ice Dogs took place this afternoon at Glacier Ice Rink. With both teams in a battle with each other for third place in the standings the Maulers shut out the Ice Dogs while scoring three.

The Maulers played the Butte Rough Riders Friday night and continued to dominate the last place team in their division. The final score ended up being 8 to 1 as Butte was able to get a goal in the third period to keep from being shut out.

The Maulers started off fast last night as they dominated the Billings Bulls. They scored early and then coasted to a 7 to 2 victory.

Thursday night was the first of two games against the Billings Bulls at Glacier Ice Rink. The first night went well with the Maulers winning by a score of 5 to 2.
