The Maulers welcomed the Butte Rough Riders to Glacier Ice Rink last night as the regular season is starting to wind down. The Maulers looked to be in playoff form as they coasted to a 8 to 2 victory.

The Billings Bulls visited the Glacier Ice Rink last night and were trounced by the Missoula Maulers by a score of 7-2. The Maulers now trail the Yellowstone Quake by 2 points for second place in the America West division.

The Maulers finished out a three game weekend this afternoon with a rematch with the Yellowstone Quake. After winning last nights match by a score of 3 to 2, the Maulers fell this afternoon by a score of 4 to 1.

In a battle for second place, the Maulers defeated the Yellowstone Quake by a score of 3 - 2 at Glacier Ice Rink. The teams will play again tomorrow afternoon.

The Maulers hosted the first place Helena Bighorns Friday night at Glacier Ice Rink. The Maulers out shot the Bighorns but ended up on the short end of a 5 to 2 final score.

The Missoula Bruins High School "A" team hosted the Bozeman Ice Dogs High School team Saturday evening at Glacier Ice Rink. The Missoula Bruins easily defeated the Ice Dogs by a score of 8 to 0.

After a six week absence, the Maulers welcomed the Butte Rough Riders to Glacier Ice Rink. Butte started the game off with a rare empty net goal in the first period, but then it was all Missoula as they coasted to a 7 to 1 win over the Rough Riders.

I was lucky to find a group of Bald Eagles feeding on some type of carcass in the Bitterroot River the other morning. A juvenile Bald Eagle was standing in the water and feeding, as at least two other adults and another juvenile eagle made passes back and forth across the area.

The Maulers finished up their three game weekend by beating the Billings Bulls by a score of 3 to 1 this afternoon at Glacier Ice Rink. Next home games will be in late January.

The Maulers defeated the Billings Bulls this evening by a score of 4 to 2. The teams meet again tomorrow afternoon.
